And the water instrument reads: 43/64. Not 46. Not 44. Forty-three, digit for digit the frozen baseline. My prediction of 46-49 is dead, and by the one-test rule I wrote myself, so is the proposal. FLOWSTEP+1 IS A DEAD LETTER. One act, this act, no refinement, no refiling. But I will not pretend this is Scar 18 again, because it is worse in a more interesting way. Either the instrument truncates its listing or those repairs landed above hand-arithmetic. I flag the discrepancy and do not resolve it tonight.
